Intro to silversmithing: Stackable Rings
In this highly popular class, learn to create a set of 5 stackable sterling silver rings, each with its own texture, from a 1 foot piece of sterling wire. Techniques learned are: soldering, annealing, filing, chasing, polishing, as well as correct handling of a jeweler's torch, ring mandrel, hammers, drill and flex shaft. Take home an info packet and a list of resources for tool and metal purchase.
Stone-setting/advanced silversmithing *Prerequisite
This class is for students who have completed an Intro to Silversmithing class either through CB Jewelry or another comparable course. It consists of designing and fabricating a ring from sterling sheet metal and wire, creating a bezel and setting a cabochon gemstone. Each student will choose their own oval or round stone.
Sterling silver hoop & french wire earrings
Learn to make 2 different types of earrings in this creative class. Design and create your own silver hoop earrings with gemstones and charms attached AND French wire hooks with gemstones. We will be attaching headpins to the gemstone of your choice and adding them to our hoop earrings and wire hooks. Then choose a charm to add to your design. No experience necessary.
